Sac State 5K will be on Thursday, April 18, 2013 @ 6 pm.
The Sac State 5K Fun Run is an event for everyone! No matter what your physical level or ability, this is a run that you will love as you make your way through the Sac State campus. All students, faculty, staff, and community members of all ages are welcomed to sign up and be a part of this University tradition. In the past, the 5K Fun Run has attracted everyone from competitive 5K enthusiasts to casual run/walkers who are looking for a great community event to participate in. Above all else, we hope that you join us for this annual event and have a great 5K experience at Sac State!
Packet Pick up
Packet pick up will be on the following days leading up to the race directly in front of the WELL at Sacramento State. You MUST have a photo ID and sign a waiver to pick up your packet.
- April 16: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
- April 17: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
- April 18: 10:00 am - race start
There will be free parking on the top two floors on parking structure III on the Sacramento State campus. Space is limited so get there early! Anywhere else you must pay $3 for 2 hours or $6 for the whole day. Want to help out during the race? We always need volunteers to work various aspects of the event. Volunteer registration will be open shortly.
- Stollers are allowed but must be in the last wave.
- No dogs
- No Headphones*
*Participants wearing headphones are less aware of their surroundings and may not be aware of (1) starting line announcements; (2) instructions on the course from race management and volunteers (3) warnings that participants have strayed off course; (4) friendly warnings from another participant that is approaching to pass; and (5) finish line/chute announcements. Event personnel must be able to communicate with participants before, during and after the race.
Awards will be give to the following at the event:
- 1st place Male
- 1st place Female
- Team with the most participants
- Team with the most spirit
